Running The Race With Perseverance - Pastor Nare

Recorded by Kabelo Badimo

Hebrews 12:1 “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a witness, let us lay aside every weight and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us…”
…let us run with determination the race that is set before us!
People who prepare for the race know that they will get tired at some point while on course; nevertheless, they know what they need to obtain in order to be rejuvenated – like the marathon, at times the competitors do get tired beyond despair and often consider quitting. But they press on until they finish.

Christian life is similar. God never promised us paradise on earth. Instead He promised to walk with us and also promised an everlasting life thereafter.  Christianity is a tough race to run and requires firm faith. Brethrens, be reminded that God never lets us go through tests that are beyond us. Trials are not there to destroy us. Instead they are there to make us stronger and for us to have a testimony.
When going through trials, do not let the Devil tempt you with short-term ungodly solutions. There was a time I had kidney problems in 2006. My boss advised me to drink beer telling me he had also experienced a similar problem and that it would help. Knowing that I serve the Lord that heals, I did not take that advice. Fellow Christians, do not resort to ungodly solutions. Persevere, have patience and faith and you will be victorious.
Romans 5:3-5 “And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation works with patience…”
